Ink jet printing technology is a new printing method. It abandons the complex process of traditional printing that requires plate making and directly sprays on the fabric to improve the printing accuracy. There are three main color matching methods for digital inkjet printing.
- Screen display method
The screen display method is to adjust the color of the image by adjusting the color displayed on the screen. Usually, the color is selected or adjusted through the color menu on the screen. This method is very useful in color matching or color matching. It is a common color matching method used by designers.
However, due to the difference between the coloration principle of the fluorescent screen and that of the dye on the fabric (the fluorescent screen produces color by mixing three RGB electron beams, while the dye displays color by absorbing light waves of some colors), all the colors that can be displayed on the screen cannot be displayed on the fabric by the dye, and the small differences between the colors displayed by the dye cannot be clearly displayed on the screen. Therefore, this is a rough color matching method and cannot be used as an accurate color matching method.
- Color card color matching method
The color card tinting method is to color by comparing the colors in the color card. Its basic process is as follows:
Firstly, the color card model is established. You can select one or several color modes to establish a color card model. The color card model is a three-dimensional (Lab mode and RGB mode) or a group of three-dimensional (CMYK mode).
Secondly, make a color card file. You can decompose a 3D model into 2D graphics, with one of the values as a variable. For CMYK mode, there are two variables. After making the color card documents, spray them out for future use.
This method is simple and easy to use. It only needs to compare the target color with the color card and select the same color.
However, if this method is used, different fabrics may have color differences, so the color card fabric is better the same as the target fabric.
In addition, the three-dimensional scale subdivision of the color card will also affect the color matching effect. The too fine scale will greatly increase the number of color cards and the workload of comparison; If the scale is too large, the number of color cards can be controlled, but the required color may not be found during comparison.
- Color measurement and color matching method
This method measures the color of the target color block with the help of a colorimeter, inputs the measured results into a computer, and then prints the color. This method uses the instrument to determine the color, so many human and environmental factors are removed.
When using this method, the sensitivity and accuracy of the colorimeter itself have a great impact on the measurement results, and the inaccurate measurement results will directly affect the printing effect. On the other hand, the fabric quality will also affect the color measurement.
